What’s going on you guys, Alex here with Elevation Offgrid. Welcome back to the shop. You already know what time it is; we’re taking this F550 chassis cab and turning it into a black edition. Let’s check out some of the build and our client seeing his truck for the first time.
The agot black base coat had already been applied by the time I got to the booth to film, but here’s the clear coat going on.
All the sound deadening has been installed, and it’s time to move on to some of our install for the morel audio package.
This is a raptor, R, not a 550. I know, yeah. Do you want to take it? Are you good there? She is, huh, and all of her glory, right there. There she is. How you doing, man? Nice to see you. Good to see you. You got it. Did you ever need Alex? Al, too many, too many of us, and you met this Alex, did okay. Well, you now you met two of them. Yeah, I mean, I met a few people on the way out. It looks good. Came out real good, beautiful audio was great. I can imagine it. I hope it, that was the uh, I don’t know if you can peek in there and see, but it’s like, so that’s that’s a 9 in base driver, basically, and then the entire door, inside outside, and the door panel is sound deadened, so it’s like, basically, two extra enclosures in the front. Yeah, it’s beautiful. The wheels, I don’t know if these were on the first time you came out, but we finally were able to get these manufactured in titanium, so it’s like anodized black. The only part, only hard right. I think we were doing something with like the wheels and the lugs or like that last time we were here, maybe it was the uh, those guys. Oh, yeah, those are the new ones. Yeah, those are the new ones. Yep, yep. So, this is the, this is the new set with no seal. It, they have a Rubber seal on it. That’s right. Was a little white, a little white. Yep, so no more of the thread. So, amazing, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. The Stance is awesome. That sight, right? So, we’ll go low first, so this is, I’ll run through the whole spiel, but um, this, this will put right at 610, so you can fit in, you know, Standard Parking garages, that sort of thing. Um, anything you need to do under the hood, I’ll show that real quick.
This, I would just avides it, is kind of fun though. Sure, it’s kind of fun. You go to a parking garage, and there’s like 350s on 35s outside, you just go right in, right? Um, so a couple fuses you should be aware of, okay. This is your power steps. We’ve seen a couple times if Ford pushes an update, so these trucks are all like Cloud connected, and if Ford pushes an update, the steps are controlled by the canbus system, so sometimes they’ll stop working, so you took pull the fuse out, say steps, put it back in. Ford uses amp power steps, also, they just use like the OE version, and there’s a tsb out like saying, hey, this happened, sometimes, so we’ve experienced same thing on these guys. It happened a little bit on the 22s, but it seems, maybe, sometimes more so on the 23s, just ’cause they’re more, they’re more advanced, yeah. Um, so that’s that. All these guys, you, you’ll never have to worry about these. Um, but this is your winch power here. This is the only thing that’s direct power from the battery. Got it. And then everything over here, compressor, it is powered off the battery, but it is relay controlled with your off switches. So, the top four compressor, this bottom 80 amp, that’s for liquid spring. It’s really, it, under the hood, other than that, it’s pretty, pretty, pretty stock.
Now, the highest right height, so this will raise it 8 inches for more just. Was and what’s the, um, like, 15 miles and under, correct, right, 15 miles high, 15 mph, and low, it will automatically revert to normal, um, at that speed, but we do recommend, like, you won’t damage anything if, if you were to hit something going that speed or if you’re driving it low and you hit a big bump, but you’ll feel it, like, it’s, it’s jing, um, yeah. So, that’s how I think water crings, um, you’re going to get under the truck and do something underneath, like that, that’s what high is good for, look really cool in the parking lot, exactly, yeah. Um, gas, the only maintenance item on liquid spr is that filter right there. This, um, so basically, this just screws out, so this is a, this is a desiccant filter. These beads will turn like bright pink when they, when it’s time for him to be replaced, right there, got it. Um, these, these can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on where you live, where you drive, it, that sort of thing. We stock them, or you can order them from liquid spring. Okay, um, and basically, this pulls moisture out of the only open part of the system, which is this plastic reservoir, right there. And that’s the reservoir that fluid is added to, so everything else is, is, totally sealed 4,000 PSI. There’s never any moisture in it, but this will pull condensation at that Reservoir.
That’s off this one, that’s your forward-facing lamp and the headlight. Get your neck, you get about 24 inches above that to throw, um, that’s your light bar. So, one forward, two light bar, three, your corters compress, it’ll only run like that, and it hasn’t run for a day or so.
Six is your six, is your rear work, okay. So, do that now if you want to jump in and run through them. So, what about those ambers in the LPS? They’re always on, okay, they’re always on. Corners bar, yep, yep. Four is compressor, five’s point, yeah. We have them oriented, we feel like, uh, the most commonly used on the outers, so like, your, your forwards, they’re not technically, like, uh, sa do road legal, but, if you look at how we aim them, their aim is pretty low, um, and we have found that, when they’re aimed like this, uh, you still get a really nice light output, but, oncoming vehicles don’t flash you sort of thing. Was like, well, if they’re not flashing, then it’s not in their eyes, you know, um, so yeah. Kind of up truck level, too, so that helps, exactly, yeah, yeah. He never squat, so yeah, yeah, and as long as you’re not on a really bad concrete road, these don’t really bounce, you know what I mean, so, it’s like, they’re really solid.
Digital inflator, are you familiar with these guys? Yeah, okay. What’s the PSI on these tires? So, right now, they’re 65 around. Leave them at 65 all around for probably 700 to 1,000 miles. That’ll help the tires break in. After that, unloaded, you could drop the rear to 55, 60, no problem, based on a load index. They really only need to be at about 50, but if you go to 50, we’ve noticed, sometimes, at a high speed, like 80, 82, 85, pressure is that low, you’ll feel like a vibration, um, so, like the rubber kind of start to flop around, um, so we feel like 55 is, is the lowest pressure, the best ride quality, unloaded, and you don’t feel that, um, okay, yeah.
Cool, looking forward to driving it home. That’s for sure. We got a little bit of a drive, so plenty of time to experience, right. Oh, yeah. So, we use the stainless braided line coming off both sides and then we tee it right there in the center, go down the middle, yep, goes down the middle, and then runs to the compressor. So, kind of the goal of the system was to, um, have like a very balanced sound system, right.
What kind of music do you like? I like all kinds, all kinds, yeah. All right, awesome. I can’t wait to mess around with this thing. In terms of the ride comfort, yeah, comfort, normal, so you, this, it just do on these right, Y, and you can adjust that anytime, okay. Doesn’t matter, yeah. So, if I wanted just to go down to normal, I could just push two
