Welcome back to MINIMAXXTUNER.COM Today we’re going to give you guys an update on our latest giveaway truck build. This is going to be FSD18. It is a 2006 Mega Cab, 59 Cummins. You guys all love so much.
So without further ado, I’m going to pretty much show you guys the truck real, quick, It’s already torn apart, We’re getting on it.

I’M going to show you guys what we’re going to do with it All right.
So you guys have probably seen this in previous videos. We took it out in the snow, Had a bunch of fun with it. This thing is an absolute ripper, but we wanted to tear it down and put our touch on things.
So we have a whole bunch of our parts going on.

We have a whole bunch of stuff pulled off getting powder coated.

And then there’s a couple little things we had to fix along the way, but nothing major. So as chrome accents. We don’t normally do that, but I want to leave it just to break things up. So it’s not the same exact truck every single giveaway
Hence why we also throw in Fords and Corvettes and stuff like that At heart, we’re always going to come back to doing our third gens, but we like to spice it up and make it a little bit exciting for you guys It’s going all shocker, yellow, which Normally requires a super chrome base coat, but the way we’re doing it for this truck is we’re using a white base coat, which basically makes the shocker yellow look like bright neon, yellow Valve cover.

We have all the intercooler pipes. We have our upper coolant tube. Our reservoir cover fuse box cover shock, tower delete plates, pretty much everything that we can powder coat, we’re powder, coating and then the rest of the suspension, the coil springs and whatnot are in the acid tank

Coming around back here, Stephen getting some beautiful stuff welded up, there are 03 to09 EDIC cooler brackets. So if you guys have a third gen and you guys need the best transmission cooler for it with the best made in America, stainless steel brackets, Not China, No, not China.
So we have these Billilstein shocks here: cuz we’re doing the shock, towered delete plates, So they’re just shorter shocks for the front there

They look good We’re pretty much ready to go as soon as Logan hurries up and gets the powder coated – God, damn it
Well, look at this guy.

What color is FSD18’s powder coat going to be? Never would guess All right guys. This thing is coming together, pretty much
This is all the rest of the stuff we got to put on. I got traction bars, So we’re going to keep crunching on this thing here, Steven’s going through getting the rest of the front end together, Also looking at anything that needs to be replaced.
U-Jints sway bar links, So this is pretty much what we do guys.

We get these trucks we go through them, we make them nice, make them nicer and we make them as reliable as possible.

So, at the end of the day, they are 20 25 year old trucks, but there’s absolutely nothing that cannot be fixed with a little bit of mechanic work and and a whole lot of money. I almost got that mother
We got FSD18 right here: It’s a 2006 Mega Cab, third gen Cumins on nitrous And I’m going to calm down now.
That bumblebee had me all riled up, But today we’re going to give you the long overdue and awaited FSD18 walkaround/overview video
Show you guys exactly what we’re working with here, Absolutely beautiful truck. It’S a freaking ripper!

You guys have seen it already. Things are freaking animal on the streets and a freak in the sheets.
Starting up front here, we got FFS. Condenser cover Looks great. The powder coat color on everything in here is a shocker yellow from Prismatic Powders, with a white base coat.

The white base coat is what makes it pop Makes. It look like a neon, yellow,
Normally, it calls for a super chrome base, which makes it look a little bit more of a um metallic. It’S not what we did here clearly, as this looks like a highlighter. It is also one of my favorite colors Popping over here.

We have big old, nitrous solenoid setup here.

Lightning, 375 from Nitrous Express, That’s plumbed two lines right into the Banks, Monster Ram intake And then we have the purge solenoid. There goes out with a stainless hard line out on the antenna which we’ll show you guys that here in a minute, But otherwise engine wise. It has push rods valve springs, head, studs, fleece, coolant, bypass kit grid, heater delete,
It has the FSD billet valve cover on here. Machined out Looks absolutely insane. We have our catch, can kit with our new just released catch.

Can We just released these the other day?
We tested them out on this truck
It absolutely performed flawlessly nothing on the can nothing on the dipstick, So it lets the engine. Breathe really well and uh doesn’t make a mess all over your engine bay cuz. You don’t want that, especially with this bright bright powder coat color Sitting. Here we have an S472 billet turbo with a speed T4 exhaust manifold flipped up.

We have this custom FSD. Second gen swap intake here sensor, bungs welded in the back custom, intercooler pipe
We have a turbo blanket, our heater hose kit top and bottom. We have our brake fluid reservoir cover with a brake fluid reservoir cap. We have our fuse box cover our upper coolant, tube shock tower and delete plates.

That pretty much covers the engine bay guys So an S472
It’S got push rods valve springs, head, studs, 100 % over injectors 12 mil CP3 billet valve cover second gen swap 472.

Catch can fuse box cover passenger side battery delete and then on this side. Here the battery terminals were a little iffy, So we went ahead and did all new terminals over here Cleaned up everything cuz before it was a little bit of a rat’s nest. So, coming around the side here we have these 24×14 KG1s with uh Fullway tires, which uh, if you’re like me and you’ve, never heard of them. They’Re absolutely dog, tires They’re. The cheapest tires that we could find, and we did that because we knew we were going to do a bunch of burnouts with this truck
But fear not this will have a brand new set of Nitto 420s a much higher quality tire on them before they leave.
But I will say we have done lots of burnouts with Nitto420VS

We have now done lots of burnouts with the full ways, And I can 110 % tell you that these full ways suck Like you, do a bunch of burnouts on a Nitto 420V and you lose like a little bit of tread.
You do a bunch of burnouts on a full way, you’re losing all the tread. The little bit of tread that you did have gone Now. You don’t have any tread So anyway, we will have new tires on this truck. We just wanted to burn them off.

So good burnout tires Not great for doing lots of burnouts over a long period of time, if that makes sense. So on the side here we have these new billet FSD hand, badges We machined out of billet aluminum. It was a block

Now it’s a hand Over here you can see our shock tower delete plate. As I touched on earlier. We have brand new set of Billilstein shocks in there.

If you notice too, there’s also brand new sway bar links, Aside from all of the fancy parts that we put on these trucks, all the time that we show you guys, these trucks are also breaking all the time.
They’Re 20 25y old trucks, so we bring them in here, There’s always  wrong with them, So we go through and we fix as much as we possibly can. We really only highlight the fancy stuff we do. But again these things are constantly getting new wheel, bearings ball joints, steering linkage U-jints all that stuff
These things are constantly getting it because we want to make sure these trucks are as good as possible for the winter, so they can make it home and enjoy the truck. So moving around the side here we got chrome mirror caps.

We got chrome door handles to match the chrome wheels and the chrome headlights and the billet badge on the side.

Normally, if you guys know me, you know, my style is color match everything. I have like severe OCD
Everything has to match perfectly, But we wanted to switch things up cuz. I know there’s a lot of guys who, like this style – And I honestly I like it a lot more than I thought I would with the chrome, accents and the polish. So I think it looks really really good.

Let me know in the comments below, if you’d rather have all color match or color match, with some chrome or possibly even black, accents

We haven’t really done one of those yet Moving around the back. Here we have our tanu cover, which I’m not even going to lie to you guys, I’m going to let you in on a little bit of a secret. If you look at some of our reels that we’ve posted you’ll see that it popped up in the back doing a couple burnouts – and this thing won’t latch. So we have a new tanu cover coming for it, so the winter won’t have to deal with that.

All the damn See that garbage Tried adjusting it and it just doesn’t work the full ways, As you can see here, as I was saying, they’re a little weathered and that like, if that was a Nitto 420, you guys are like in the comments you guys are Always like “, Oh my god, it’s not going to have any tires left!

“ Yeah, But it’s like realistically, when we do these burnouts it like the tread, doesn’t even go down like barely at all, Not with the, full, Pretty straightforward, really clean setup. We got a roll pan.
Does also have a backup camera, which is really nice. We got a 6-in polished, elbow full 5-in, turbo back. That’S why this thing is so god dang loud So moving around.

Actually, let’s go back to the other side, so you can see it better. Cuz there’s like a hill there,

We got our traction bars on here. We make these, We sell these They’re bolt-on and they clamp on in the rear, 2-in 1/4in wall tube
That ain’t bending anytime soon. You know that Our logo stainless steel riveted on. We also have a system that we made because our traction bars are double adjustable, So you can actually install them and then turn them to preload them and then lock the jam nuts
Because of that, sometimes the tube will move and the logo will be like down here up here, So we actually have rubber isolators mounted here and then one on the back And that basically keeps the tube straight, but doesn’t bang around hitting off metal.

So we use those rubber isolators that keeps the tube straight Looks really really good.
All right Now that you have seen the traction bars: let’s go all the way back around this way. I hate this toner cover Traction bars been covered wheels. Ah, the antenna
So if you guys see this right here, you guys are like “ What What is that ?”?

Well just give me one. Second,

I’M going to open the nitrous bottle and I’ll show you Spicy air boys,
I’M going to go inside here, I’m going to push this one, There’s a couple red buttons inside I’m going to push one of them. What that’s going to do is open our purge. Solenoid
Going to dump nitrous out of right here, The reason for that is so that when you want to use your nitrous, if there’s any air in the line, it’s pre-purged out, So you just have 100 % nitrous ready to go. You don’t want to have bits of air in the line and stuff like that.

So hitting the purge before you use nitrous is always a must.
You want to make sure those lines are cleared out, But in this case, obviously we’re not about to launch it down a drag strip, but I’m just showing you guys this, so you guys see how it works and what it does.
So what do you do when you roll up to the stoplight old boy, pulls up in his slow third gen with his with his sunroof? And then just I don’t know. I don’t know if I was a Mustang.

I might freaking bang right into the crowd and just hit someone instead. So anyway, that is the purge antenna.
Thought it was really cool. We were actually originally going to keep a bullet antenna on the top of it, but once we ran that line up there, we were like man, you know what this actually looks really good as it is So we just sent it and ran with that, and I Think it looks awesome and it’s really really cool. So everywhere we go when you hit that purge People are like snapping, necks, left and right.

 

I’M going to show you the inside Now, I would say it’s the best part, but like it’s really hard to pick a best part here, You have the truck itself, which is a mega cab. So with that you have a really nice interior. You got plenty of extra space, but it does also have a really nice engine bay with nitrous
I don’t know: what’s better the engine and the transmission and the nitrous setup, all that fun stuff or the inside

I’Ll show you guys the inside. Let me know in the comments below What do you like more the engine or the interior. Let me just take a seat in here: real quick
Pop this off Just imagine this Driving down the road, your steering wheel, pops off you hit a tree Anyway, we’re in here now We got our beautiful NRG carbon fiber steering wheel.

Super lightweight billet, quick, attach hub on it, And then this right here is our nitrous button, which opens our main solenoid and injects our nitrous directly into the engine. Aside from the really cool carbon fiber steering wheel and the nitrous button, that’s on it, we have a whole bunch of gauges here.

So we have fuel rail pressure, trans temp boost exhaust temp and low fuel pressure, So everything’s monitored there.
Those are all the main things you want to cover Right here is our tuning switch. It’S turned up to five, It stays at five because we don’t we don’t go down to those lower numbers.

It’S always at five, all the way up.
Check it out Right here, ratchet shifter, Pretty standard in FSD, build First gear. Second gear third gear, overdrive, lockup neutral, reverse park; very, very easy.

Then we have the sunroof right here, which works absolutely flawlessly. This is probably, I think this is the first third gen I’ve had that had a sunroof Incorrect
Oh really, Black truck: Oh the G56 unit, FSD 13. That’S right!

Fsd 13 did have a sunroof. Now that Jake reminded me, This is my first truck with a sunroof and a drop down TV, though I’ll show you guys that And it’s my first Mega Cab, So we’ve never done a Mega Cab before
And I’ll show you guys that here Real quick just finishing up in the front, though All leather, electric seats and Heated electric Even got a trailer brake controller for when you’re hauling,
Open the back, Look at that spacious!

Look at this! You can recline watch a movie. Why not? Which one of your boys has a third gen? That’S got a TV in the back with the reclining seats and a goddamn remote
Probably none of them That’s a small ass screen, though That shit’s like That’s like the size of my phone man Back in 2006, they were partying man.

This is pretty much the back of it.
Yeah, I mean it’s pretty immaculate too, Like how do you get cleaner than this man? It’S 2006 third gen

It’S 2025
We’Ll just round up Say: 26, 20 years, I’m only 26 years old and I’m barely alive. Look at these seats right now.
They’Re brand new And it’s 20  years old, Absolutely crazy!

Let me hop out, I think there might be some storage under here.
Oh actually, no there’s not, But what these seats do do. Is this Look at that Fold down flat That whole row folds down too
What is this little storage? What is that? An amp?

Wait? Dude! That’S got a amp in it.
We just found an amp under here Yeah. Maybe it had subs All right.

I think that probably covers most of everything We went over the engine bay. We got an S472 second gen swap push rods valve springs head, studs, 100 % over injectors 12 mil CP3
Transmissions, a Firepunk Comp, 2, full manual valve body And just right before I bought this truck, it was refreshed by Firepunk, Shifts absolutely flawlessly No issues there Trying to think if we missed anything

Yeah we got our freaking shock tower delete plates with our logos, our traction bars in the back, the nitrous. The purge fuse box cover Yeah. I think that’s it. I hope you guys, like the truck.

We put a whole bunch of time and money into this thing. Trying to make it absolutely badass, And I think it’s definitely one of the cleanest thirdgens that we have done here, especially with it being a mega cab with the sunroof, the TV and all the other goodies.
