RAM 3500 Cummins Deleted And Needs A New Fuel Pump... Is It Covered Under Warranty?

Welcome back guys, I found a ram HD on weight loss program, getting a CP3 installed by Yours. Truly, who is that Josh at truck stuff there? He is yeah, so so what you working on dude! Well, we got this customer that uh has some drivability issues and he’s hoping that the recall is going to take care of them, even though I don’t think it’s going to cuz when those things shell out, they don’t like to drive at all. Really that’s an old cp4 yeah, that’s the old cp4!

I mean you can go to any one of 1500 different YouTubers that are actually going to tear these things apart and tell you what it is that failed in them I’ll be really quick on it. Today’S diesel fuel in the US market is lacking in lubrication and those were designed primarily for a European market where their fuel has a lot more lubrication in it M. So every manufacturer has made the mistake of putting that thing on and they just don’t learn their they’ve all done it like GM was first to do it and they all follow suit, yeah and so here’s the recall, CP3 conversion back on there. Okay, that blue line. Yes, they’ve already got a lift pump installed on this, so we had to make sure that I could get that to fit back onto the that blue line there.

Okay, yeah, that’s so his fuel filter housing is not even doing anything. Blue line goes all the way back to his fast system. Oh got you got, you got you right, nice, okay, so if we were to go under this truck here, let’s see – oh, my goodness that looks so good man that looks good dude. That’S what I want to see right there – hopefully, hopefully, our commander-in chief, will carry up with the uh with this so and that’s funny. While this is going up, we’re going to be quick on this.
Yes, the Chron difference made where all of that stuff went away. What people are most confused about is just because the Chevron Defence has gone doesn’t make it legal to delete your vehicles. There has to be legislation put into effect by the voted members of our government, whether it be at the state or federal level. To actually say yes, it’s okay, okay, to delete your vehicles y. It has to be legislation before it’s actually done now, if you by chance, get fined by the EPA, you hire a very expensive lawyer and you force legislation.

You can probably win, but it is not legal to put your truck on a weight loss program that sucks man yeah. So here it is look at that guys. Oh my gosh! Look at this. I love seeing this.

Oh it’s a little dark hold on. Let me let let me brighten you up here hold on there. We go Jos got you guys’ back so yeah, all that stuff, DPF uh did they take off the oh. They took off the uh BF tank too. Did they yeah de tanks out?
They left all the connectors wide open w. Why would they do that? I mean so here’s the problem with doing that. Is you see all of that green stuff in there? Yep you’ll see it in every one of these connectors that have just been left to to go.

That will throw codes that a tune cannot fix. You’Ve got other parts of the engine that are still running on a 5vt circuit and when you short them directly across right here, the rest of the system still going to be affected. So here’s his that’s probably his drivability concern is he’s getting uh short across his 5vt circuit. Every one of these connectors look. They even cut this one off off and look at the wires corroded together right there, so yeah uh.

What not to do if you’re planning on doing weight loss program, yeah hire this guy to do it well, never mind, never mind. No, he can’t never mind deip level. I can’t do yeah at the doer level. He cannot do it so take that for what it’s worth, I can work on them yeah, but and and there’s the logs tricky too. So technically, if I take a part off of your vehicle that was supposed to to have an emissions control device on it, I can’t put that part back on without the emissions control device attached to it.
It’S kind of kind of tricky in there gotcha, but yeah they’ve got a sump pump fast system in here. Oh nice, you know the only time I ever recommend drilling a hole in the bottom of your tank. Putting a sump in there is, if you’re running, twins, you’re, running high flow, injectors, you’re doing all kinds of other power adders to where you need the additional amount. Otherwise, the dropin are way more less maintenance got. These potentially can still leak uh-huh.

So I’m I’m not a big fan of these. Unless you’re, you know pushing a lot of power up got you. Why do they have these these uh ladder bars yeah? Why cuz somebody told them it was cool. I mean Factory, this truck’s got leaf, springs and airbags.

That’S what I was saying like you already have leaes back here right somebody told this would be cool. You need to have that and they welded that on there, too huh and welded onto the aute weld it onto the frame rail, wow, yeah, interesting yeah. I’M not a fan of ladder bars yeah, they were cool back in the 70s when you had your Camaro and the axle would wrap and your leaf spring would make an S shape, but huh, but they could have got axle wrap, leaves. Probably that would have worked. Even better than that yeah there’s a lot of other stuff, they could have done besides putting those really cool ladder bars on there yeah.
Well, hey! This is a bro truck, though for sure whoever had they’ve got it all wiped out. Tail lights mirrors headlights yeah. All of the bezels Park – sensors everything’s been Pain’s, been paying it, but hey. I respect them for doing the weight loss program.

I respect that. That’S a big old nice screw you to our federal government very much pretty much. Well. We have a chance to hear the truck guys. We will uh, let you hear it um I have to be like I said you know: they’re not allowed to do any type of modification submission controls here at the dealership level.

So you know, there’s still a lot of work on them, but they just cannot touch those those controls. I can’t can’t knowingly remove an emissions control device yeah, so it’s crazy yeah, but it is what it is. You know we get through it all, together, yeah and hopefully someday maybe soon, we’ll all be able to put our trucks on a weight loss program. Yep yep, oh yeah, I’m excited for that day. Hopefully we’ll see it.
This thing is heavy by the way. Oh, my gosh, that is really heavy, that new CP3 is even heavier really. The CP3 is heavier than this yeah. It’S got more more mass to it. Oh really got you wow wow yeah, this whole flange piece.

That goes all the way around. Oh my God. It’S considerably bigger and then there’s the adapter flange that allows the CP3 to mount back into and give the correct depth for the gear that times into the timing. Gear set mhm to turn it so there’s, there’s more mass in the CP3 than there is a cp4 got you interesting. It’S a pretty big turbo buddy.

You know I’m not sure that it’s a whole lot bigger than Factory uhhuh, but I I for the life of me can’t figure out why they went with a high mount exhaust manifold on there huh other than some people think it’s cool. I don’t know yeah like I said this is a bro truck man. They set it up like a bro truck. Well, look at this. They literally just broke the surge bottle, mounting bracket housing W in multiple pieces to get that turbo in there that’s and then they don’t even have a catch can off of the freezer.
Just vit atmosphere, yeah so can sit there and grip oil onto the hot ajust. Those two trucks that we’re going to do out of Colorado uhhuh do catch cans on both of them. Okay, I can’t wait till we get that that’s going to be some good footage. Dude! Oh yeah!

That’S going to be awes, we’re doing the fleece turbos uhhuh, the fleece coolant bypass the fleece fuel filter housing delete, oh man, the Hamilton, cam, solid, cam, solid, lifter, flat ta. It swap fast Drop In Style, lift pumps, mhm um, bulletproof diesel.com water pump uh. What else is there there’s a few other little goodies that we’re going to be doing on both of those trucks side by side man? I can’t wait dude when, when, when are you looking to get that done, uh he’s thinking he’s going to have it to me.

There yeah I’ve seen these from a couple places, and you know it’s a total delete of the air in Grid heater mhm, which whatever yeah it started like crap when I first started it this morning, oh really yeah, and then this lovely Contraption yeah. What is that upper coola hose instead of doing a bend on it? Somebody just pie, cut that and welded it back up. Gotcha huh.
